LOVIE has been cooking for 49 years. Yes, you heard that right! She started at the age of six. You do the math. She learned from her southern-born Mississippi grandmother with the same name: Lovie Mae. She sat at her grandmother’s feet and learned the art of frying chicken and fish Mississippi style. She was taught the art of cooking Southern-style collard greens, macaroni and cheese, corn bread, icebox pie, and a host of other Southern dishes.
When other children were outside playing, she was forced to cook for the household of many. So she didn’t like it much back then. But, as a young adult, she fell in love with cooking and preparing her food with love.

As an adult, Lovie has learned the art of many types of dishes and foods that we all love. When she ventures into a new style, culture, or cuisine, she nails it! She has received personal training from a few well-known celebrity chefs. We believe the love that she puts into her cooking is the main thing that people enjoy.
